Those of you who have visited us and flown with us on the south side of the Sierra Nevada (La Alpujarra) will remember the beautiful flight from what we used to call "the office" (i.e. "where Carlos goes to work every day"). Take-off at 2.000m with a stunning view all the way to the Mediterranean sea, landing in Bubion itself just next to the bars and hotels, the possibility to climb and fly over the National Park, all the way to the big peaks...
Well, unfortunately, the landing site has been used as a place where the local construction firm dumps their materials and debris, spreading all this -excuse the language - shit all over the landing site. After two years of asking the mayor to do something about it and nothing happening, we grew sick of the situation and left. If they don't realise that paragliding is a sport that brings wealth to the village, f*** them. Yes, we are very angy about the whole thing!

Another reason for moving was that really the flying on the south side of the Sierra Nevada is more something for experienced pilots. Thermals are not easy to catch and some of our pilots got a bit frustrated by not being able to climb. The Granada sites are easier in that sense so we hope to make you happier by showing you the sites in our new area - by the way, not new to Carlos who flew there and worked as an instructor from 1988-1992. So really, we returned back to where Carlos' roots are (can you say that in paragliding I wonder!?!). And then there is the personal aspect: we have two little girls and Bubion didn't have much to offer for children in terms of education and fun. So that was another reason!
