Flight guidance
Pilot profile: You are a Club Pilot+ with at least 100 hours flying experience in different sites (including high mountains) and with thermic activity. You are confident reverse launching and landing in smaller areas.
After a briefing in the morning (based on meteo information from the internet), we start out to the chosen site. Carlos will give you essential information about where to get lifts, alternative landing areas, what to watch out for etc. He flies as winddummy, if you wish, and will give you direct information about what is going on in the air. |

Thermalling course
Pilot profile: You are a Club Pilot+ with 20-100 hours of flying experience, but don't feel 100% autonomous yet. You might not be used to flying in thermal conditions or in high mountains and would like to improve your technique, as well as start flying Cross Country.
Carlos will first check out your level and find out in detail about your experience up to now. He will then design a programme suited to your individual needs, as well as check your paragliding equipment.
We start the day with an Internet weather briefing with explanations on how to analyse the weather
charts. We then leave for the chosen site, and maybe visit the landing area first. Carlos will give you precise information about where to get lifts, alternative landing areas, what to watch out for etc. He flies first as winddummy and checks the situation, telling the rest of the group over the radio what it's like in the air. During your flight, he will be in contact with you via radio, giving you advice.
All your time flying here would be aiming at improving and getting more out of each situation. We analyse your flights in detail afterwards and give you lots of tips and tricks that will come in very handy for your future flying. Special emphasis will be put on thermalling, and you should be able to do some flights with difference in altitude up to 1.700m and some small XC flights. |

Beginners' courses
Student profile: no experience at all to maybe a few days of ground handling and some minor flights.
A beginners' course usually takes 5 days, about 6 hours per day.
The first days will be theory combined with ground handling and hops with ground clearance of a few feet. You will also do a tandem flight with Carlos, to get airborne!!!
We'll then go on to doing small flights and at the end of the course, you should be able to do flights with 400m or more difference in altitude. You will be supervised by radio and have one person with you at take-off and another at the landing area. The course includes instruction (theory and practice), transport to and from the flight sites in our 4WD, the hire of material and accident insurance. |
